We believe that contributing to important causes makes our communities healthier and stronger.
As engaged members of the communities we serve, we have incorporated philanthropic programs into our pharmacies, and actively encourage our staff to become involved.
We regularly participate in events organized by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Aga Khan Foundation Canada, Diabetes Canada, Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Mental Health Association, and National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
During the Tsunami in Southeast Asia, we showed our commitment to contributing to worthy causes by matching our employees’ contributions. We have also donated to the Haiti Earthquake and Japan Disaster Recovery Plan, and to the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Wellness Pharmacy has organized and participated in programs for underprivileged individuals such as “Hotdogs for the Homeless,” clothing drives and food banks. We have also partnered with Vancouver Helping Hands Foundation, an organization that provides care packages to people suffering from poverty in the Downtown Eastside, and assists them in getting back on their feet.
We are also involved with the Association of South Asian Professionals of British Columbia (ASAP), which focuses on building a positive portrayal of South Asian Professionals in Vancouver through socially responsible activities such as mentoring students and charitable acts.
